Ln. Jitendra Lal Bhowmik
President
Ln. Jitendra Lal Bhowmik, hailing from Kishoreganj, was born on April 30, 1949. He is an eminent industrialist and a dedicated social worker. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Physics in 1972. Through his perseverance and dedication, Ln. Bhowmik established himself as a successful businessman in a short span of time, dealing in the indenting and import business of cloth. He founded Shatarupa Textiles Limited and Shatarupa Cotton Mills Limited.
Ln. Bhowmik’s journey in lionism began with the Ramna Lions Club in 1977, later transferring to the Progressive Lions Club in 1981. He served as President of the Club for the year 1987-1988. His leadership capabilities were further recognized when he was elected as District Governor for the year 1994-1995 of District 315 B2 and as the Council Chairman of Multiple Council 315 in 1995-1996. For his outstanding contributions to the industrialization of Bangladesh, Ln. Bhowmik was honored with the “Sir Jagadish Chandra Gold Medal.” He is also a leading donor to LCIF, contributing a hundred thousand dollars. He was the successful President of the Mohanagar Sharbojonin Puja Committee and Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad.
Beyond his business acumen, Ln. Bhowmik is profoundly committed to social causes. He is the President of Gulshan-Banani Sharbojonin Puja Foundation, Chairman of Dhaka Progressive Lions Eye Hospital, serving communities in Narsingdi, Narayanganj, and Takerhat. Additionally, he is a member of the UCEF Board of Governors, playing a pivotal role in educational and healthcare initiatives.
Ln. Bhowmik is married to Ln. Tapati Bhowmik since 1977, and they are proud parents of three daughters, Joya Bhowmik, Trina Bhowmik, Sreya Bhowmik, and one son, Tapajeet Bhowmik. His life’s work stands as a testament to his dedication to both his professional endeavors and his unwavering commitment to social development.
Engr. Ashim Kumar Joardar

Engr. Ashim Kumar Joardar is a distinguished civil engineer with a notable academic and professional background. He earned his M.Sc. in Civil Engineering, specializing in Environmental Engineering, from the prestigious Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), where he graduated with first-class honors. Prior to this, he completed his B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Rajshahi Engineering College, now known as Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), achieving first-class honors and securing the first position in his cohort.
Currently, Engr. Joardar serves as the Director of ABC Real Estate Limited, where he applies his extensive knowledge and expertise to lead and innovate in the real estate sector. His commitment to excellence and professional growth is reflected in his active participation in prominent social clubs. He is the General Secretary of the Gulshan-Banani Sharbojonin Puja Foundation and a permanent member of both the Dhaka Club and the Banani Club along with many other social organizations, showcasing his dedication to maintaining strong professional and social networks.
